GMMB Internship position for summer 2011
Founded in 1983, GMMB has earned a reputation as the nation’s premier issues and advocacy communications firm.  We tackle the pressing issues of the day, including health care and health policy, safety, the environment, education, volunteer service, and many others. We use our commitment and expertise to make a real difference in people’s lives.

Our Seattle office is looking for a detail-oriented, hardworking, and energetic individual to assist various account teams for summer 2011. Duties include compiling and organizing press clips, research and writing backgrounder-type documents, some media relations, database management, logistics, and administrative support—all in a fun, fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, paid position.

GMMB’s address is 1200 Westlake Ave N, Suite 1005, Seattle, WA 98109. This is a great opportunity for juniors, seniors and recent grads to get a feel for how a PR firm works—all the while helping raise awareness about some great causes. In GMMB’s Seattle office, we work with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, PATH, Public Health – Seattle and King County, and the WA State Department of Health. Strong writing and research skills are very important.

If you are interested in joining our team, please email your cover letter and resume to HR@gmmb.com <mailto:HR@gmmb.com> with Attn: HR-SEATTLE INTERN in the subject line. Select applicants will be contacted for phone interviews. Please no phone calls.
