Radio Promotion Intern
Description: Intern to the Promotions Department for STAR 101.5, Seattle’s Greatest Hits- 570 KVI and KOMO Newsradio Stations. Assist in the daily activities of the promotion department. Areas learned include: marketing of radio stations and its clients/listeners, promotion creation, event and contest coordination, press and public relations, and an introduction to all aspects of radio broadcasting.
Qualifications: Promotions/marketing or career interests or other interest in the Communications Field. Responsible, positive attitude, directed, dependable, self- starter, strong communication & writing skills. Must be currently enrolled in College or University and earn school credit for work completed, as this is an un-paid internship. You will need to submit proof of earning credit on your first day, i.e. print out of school schedule, letter from advisor/teacher, etc.
Requirements: Minimum of 20 hours per week up to 30 hours per week. Must be approved to drive our station vehicles
Positions Available: 2 each quarter- Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall.

Ability to read, comprehend and compose common instructions, business correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Fisher team members.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions expressed in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to remain in a static position for extended periods of time and converse with and communicate with others. The team member is occasionally required to move about, handle and/or position items. The team member must occasionally transport or move up to 15 pounds. The team member must be able to identify objects and be able to communicate in writing.
