Position: Administrative Assistant
Location: Bakersfield, California
SUMMARY OF JOB:
Is responsible for providing administrative support to the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Daily implementation of Traffic instructions and changes. Work with internal and external customers to receive information needed for daily log completion.
Maintain double check systems for facilities to ensure accuracy. Maintain files for advertiser facilities.
Assist with completion of daily program logs; ensure all copy is in and all paid program and syndicated show numbers are on the log. Print and distribute daily program logs for KBAK & KBFX.
Media inventory management, including weekly and monthly server and media purges.
Responsible for trafficking Paid Programming. Work with Programming Department weekly to make sure all time is sold and to confirm program titles and phone numbers. Provide weekly list for customer service.
Investigate all billing/continuity discrepancies.
- Maintain political commercials according to FCC regulations. Work with Sales Department to review and approve all spots.
- Respond to internal and external requests. Follow through to completion
- Perform work according to values of Fisher Communications with the utmost of integrity and trust in doing what is right.
- Input National orders and Maintain files.
- Clear and Process orders

1-3 years of experience required
High school diploma or GED equivalency required
Ability to read, comprehend and compose common instructions, business correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Fisher team members.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions expressed in written, oral or diagram form.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to remain in a static position for extended periods of time and converse with and communicate with others. The team member is occasionally required to move about, handle and/or position items. The team member must occasionally transport or move up to 15 pounds. The team member must be able to identify objects and be able to communicate in writing.
Typical indoor office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
