Editorial Interns needed

A Washington-based publishing company that produces three quarterly titles is accepting applications for editorial internships to start immediately. The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Editor of The Flyfish Journal, carrying out day-to-day tasks essential to this title. Tasks will include anything from fact-checking and research to editing and authoring articles for both print, web and social media. A successful applicant should possess the following qualities:

A genuine love for flyfishing and knowledge of the sport.

Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Good understanding of AP grammatical style.

Previously published works and editorial experience are an asset but not absolutely necessary.  Applicants are encouraged to apply with a resume, a cover letter describing why they want to intern with us and a writing sample that best represents your style and abilities to steveduda@theflyfishjournal. Hours are flexible based on individual needs but interns will be asked to commit to a minimum of 10-15 hours a week. It is an unpaid internship for college credit with offices based on Alki Beach in West Seattle. We look forward to receiving your application.

Sincerely,
